In my family, we eat traditional African foods like fufu and egusi soup. We usually eat together and share food with each other like if you wanted to get food and eat somewhere like the couch u couldn’t do that you had to eat with the family phones away socializing. This custom reflects my culture because food brings family together and helps us stay connected to our roots It also shows that my family values respect and spending time together.

One African dish that represents my culture is jollof rice. It is a popular West African dish made with rice tomatoes peppers and spices. It is significant because it brings families together during holidays parties and special events. Jollof rice is more than just food because it represents our traditions and brings people together.

I felt angry and disrespected while writing the story because someone called me the n word. The part that affected me the most was when they actually said it because I wasnt expecting it it made me think about how words can really affect someone even if the person saying them thinks its just a joke.

I think fairness and opportunity are still important today because everyone should have a fair chance to get a job and be successful Troy’s situation shows how discrimination can stop people from getting opportunities they deserve If I was in Troy’s position I would speak up for myself and keep working toward getting the same opportunities as everyone else

Troy stood out to me the most he’s a very interesting character the way he moves and teaches just everything about him I can’t understand why he can’t let go of his past trauma after all the years and give his kids and family a better environment/household to live in and build a better connection instead of always fighting and disagreements 24/7 my projects represents city and I just used how he was into football i used that a lot in my projects like sports sites because his family were into sports so I would think that Cory would have to do with a lot of sports wise

Forgiving someone does not mean you have to forget what they did forgiveness can mean letting go of anger and choosing to move forward while still remembering what happened and learning from it In Fences the characters have to deal with the hurt caused by Troy while also finding a way to move forward after his death I think it is ok to forgive someone without forgetting their actions remembering what happened can help you avoid making the same mistakes or allowing someone to hurt you again from my own observations people sometimes forgive each other but still need time to rebuild trust forgiveness is more about choosing not to hold on to anger forever than pretending the hurt never happene I believe remembering the past while forgiving someone can help a person grow and make healthier choices in the future.
